Job Overview

The Aerial Lineman plays a crucial role in the telecommunications sector, focusing on the construction and upkeep of aerial communication systems. This position demands a commitment to safety and quality, ensuring that installations meet the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Engage in the installation, testing, and repair of telecommunications structures and equipment.
  • Collaborate with the crew Foreman to uphold safety protocols and quality benchmarks while adhering to project timelines and budgets.
  • Prepare for construction by reviewing documentation with the Foreman, gathering necessary materials, and determining installation techniques.
  • Assist in managing on-site inventory and materials effectively.
  • Conduct inspections and audits as required.
  • Gather, review, and submit all necessary closeout documentation in accordance with project timelines.
  • Support the training of crew members on safety and quality practices.
  • Maintain and report on the condition of issued equipment.
Qualifications:
  • 2-4 years of experience in the telecommunications field.
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent vocational training.
  • A valid driver's license is preferred, with a driving record that aligns with company standards.
Skills and Competencies:
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a collaborative mindset.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment while meeting deadlines.
  • Highly organized with a keen attention to detail.
  • Willingness to travel, including weekends, as necessary.
  • Capability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
