Job Title: Dirt Superintendent

Primoris Industrial & Civil is seeking an experienced Dirt Superintendent to oversee and manage all aspects of earthwork operations on a construction site. The successful candidate will ensure that excavation, grading, and other earth-moving activities are performed safely, efficiently, and according to project plans and specifications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and coordinate the execution of construction activities conducted by foremen and craft workers.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant codes, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to review and interpret project designs and specifications.
  • Manage a team of industrial construction foremen and craft workers, providing clear direction, guidance, and support.
  • Assign tasks and responsibilities to construction crew members, ensuring optimal resource allocation.
  • Monitor construction progress, ensuring adherence to project schedules and milestones.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
Requirements:
  • 5-8 years' experience as a Superintendent, General Foreman, or similar supervisory role in the industrial construction industry.
  • Proven experience in industrial construction and civil projects, preferably in site development industry.
  • Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, construction techniques, and industry best practices.
  • Deep understanding of safety regulations, including trench safety, environmental practices, and quality control processes in the industrial construction industry.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities with the capacity to motivate and manage a diverse workforce.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
