Transportation Coordinator

We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Transportation Coordinator to join our dynamic Youth Community Services team. This role involves providing transportation to and from facilities for clients/patients participating in provided programs while ensuring their safety during transportation and maintaining the cleanliness and maintenance of the vehicle.
Position Overview: As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for transporting clients safely and efficiently, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations. You will also ensure that the vehicle is well-maintained and clean at all times.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely transport clients to and from approved designations, following a set schedule.
- Ensure client safety during transportation, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
- Schedule, route, and pick-up clients as assigned; only scheduled clients will be allowed in the vehicle.
- Report any suspicious activity while transporting clients.
- Complete necessary paperwork, including incident reports and other records.
- Maintain appropriate professional boundaries with clients/patients.
- Implement safety check procedures for the vehicles according to company policy.
- Report any mechanical or other problems with the vehicle to leadership immediately.
- Participate in staff development activities and required meetings.
- Maintain the vehicle's cleanliness and ensure it is well-maintained, arranging for routine maintenance and repairs as needed.
- Communicate effectively and establish positive relationships with clients, staff, and community members.
Requirements:
- A valid Missouri Class E Driver's License with a good driving record.
- Eligibility to be included on the company insurance policy for van drivers.
- CPR, First Aid, and Blood Borne Pathogens Certification.
- A high school diploma or GED, and at least 21 years old (required for insurance purposes).
- Successful completion of a background check including criminal record, driving record, and abuse/neglect.
- Completion of New Hire Orientation at the beginning of employment.
- Able to perform physical demands of the job, including walking, running, and assisting clients as needed.
Compensation and Benefits: We offer a competitive hourly rate of $15-$18 per hour, depending on experience. Additionally, we provide a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as a 401(k) retirement plan.
