Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Savello U.S.A. Inc. in Wilkes Barre, PA. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for maintaining an efficient flow of production, performing ongoing facility maintenance, and completing repairs on equipment and machinery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with all departments to maintain an efficient flow of production.
  • Perform ongoing facility maintenance and complete repairs on equipment and machinery.
  • Follow and complete the company's schedule of routine repairs and inspection sheets.
  • Follow and complete the company's sanitation schedule for coolers, equipment, production rooms, and warehouse.
  • Apply preventive measures to the building to reduce the risk of future problems.
  • Fix potential safety hazards to avoid injuries.
  • Paint equipment when old paint has faded or chipped.
  • Fix and assemble pallets.
  • Liaison with the company's pest management contractor.
  • Assist with the installation of new equipment and oversee building upgrades according to the owner's requests.
Requirements and Conditions:
  • Must have a minimum of 2 years maintenance experience and strong work history.
  • Regular and effective communication with all departments to maintain an efficient flow of production.
  • Reliable, responsible, dependable, and pleasant with others, displaying a good-natured attitude, and fulfilling obligations.
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Plumbing knowledge to address leaks, clogs, or other drainage problems.
  • Carpentry ability to handle basic repairs around the building.
  • Grounds keeping of property.
  • Attention to detail to ensure that all jobs are completed in an exemplary manner and any potential hazards or warning signs of problems are not overlooked.
  • Great time management to coordinate maintenance tasks in the most efficient manner possible.
  • Physical stamina to handle the full shift of being active and working throughout the building.
  • HVAC certification is a plus to maintain, repair, and clean ventilation and air conditioning systems and equipment.
  • OSHA Compliant forklift certification is a plus.
Work Environment:

Work includes exposure to various temperature changes and work environments, duties are performed in climate-controlled area, coolers, freezer if needed.
