Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care and lead a team of nurses to deliver high-quality patient outcomes.
- Develop and implement patient care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
- Conduct regular rounds to assess patient needs and ensure timely interventions.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless patient flow and efficient use of resources.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
- Lead and develop nursing staff to achieve their full potential and improve patient outcomes.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care transitions.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest clinical practices and guidelines to provide evidence-based care.
- Current Florida RN licensure or endorsement.
- BSN required or conditional waiver for BSN requirement may apply to internal associates who complete their BSN within 3 years of transition to new role.
- Minimum of two years of relevant clinical experience preferred.
- Must meet unit-specific care requirements.
- Language: Must be able to speak/understand written and verbal instructions in the English language.
- Must have visual acuity and hand-eye coordination to perform clinical tasks.
- Must have corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
- Must be able to lift, turn, pull, push or ambulate patients/equipment up to 90% of the assigned shift.
- Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds unassisted up to 33% of the assigned shift.
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend and stoop up to 90% of assigned shift.
- Must have ability to work in often stressful environment with patients/families at various ages and levels of understanding.
- Must have ability to concentrate on multiple priority activities.
- Must have ability to respond appropriately to life-threatening situations.
- Must have critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Highly developed communication skills, verbal and non-verbal.
Must meet the charge RN/supervisor competency assessment/skills checklist requirements in accordance with the Florida Nurse Practice Act within 3 months of employment and annually.
