Position Overview:
About Our Organization
At Elliot General Surgery, we specialize in diagnosing and surgically treating a variety of conditions such as diverticulitis, appendicitis, gallbladder issues, hernias, GERD, hemorrhoids, and more. Our board-certified general surgeon is proficient in both traditional open surgeries and advanced robotic and minimally invasive techniques. We invite candidates from all backgrounds to consider this role, as prior experience in Gastroenterology is not a prerequisite.
Role Summary - Per Diem
This role is part of a collaborative care team dedicated to providing exceptional care to patients undergoing treatments for conditions including gallbladder, colon, hernia, appendix, rectal, and gynecological cancers. Responsibilities encompass patient rooming, monitoring vital signs, updating medical histories, conducting in-office procedures, performing telephone triage, managing wound care, coordinating with team members, and developing new services and programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Fosters and supports changes that enhance patient outcomes and create an effective professional practice environment.
- Engages patients and their families in setting goals and planning care, ensuring clear communication of the care plan to all involved parties for seamless transitions.
- Applies current evidence and relevant national/specialty standards to inform practice and identifies opportunities for improvement.
- Exhibits proficient clinical practice through sound clinical decision-making and critical thinking abilities.
- Education: Graduate from an accredited nursing program. A Bachelor of Science in Nursing is preferred.
- Licensure: Must possess a New Hampshire Registered Nurse or Compact State Registered Nurse License.
- Technical Certification: Must obtain BLS certification during the orientation period and maintain it throughout employment. ACLS certification is preferred.
