Chewy is actively looking for an HR Operations Specialist to become a vital part of our team. This role is essential in delivering administrative assistance to the human resources department as required, including tasks such as generating correspondence, maintaining records, and managing HRIS entries. The HR Operations Specialist will serve as the primary contact for employees regarding HR-related inquiries.
What You Will Do:
+ Facilitate new employee orientations on-site to ensure that new hires understand their benefits, policies, and procedures.
+ Oversee the call-off line and manage various time-off requests to guarantee accurate tracking of absenteeism.
+ Execute payroll adjustments and time sheet corrections to ensure precision in payroll processing, adhering to established deadlines.
+ Organize and maintain employee records, initiate necessary drug and background checks, and conduct regular audits of files.
+ Draft, revise, and proofread company policies and procedures, utilizing electronic communication tools to disseminate information effectively. Compile and produce the company directory.
+ Undertake additional HR generalist responsibilities as assigned.
What You Will Need:
+ A minimum of a Bachelor's degree, preferably in business or human resources.
+ 1 to 3 years of experience in administering general HR functions is preferred.
+ Proficiency in computer applications and the ability to learn HRIS systems (such as Paychex or Kronos).
+ Strong skills in MS Office, particularly Excel.
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a keen eye for punctuation, spelling, grammar, and detail.
+ Strong interpersonal abilities are essential.
+ Flexibility to work various schedules, which may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
