Position Overview

WSP is seeking a Civil Engineer - Energy to enhance our Power & Energy division. The selected candidate will engage in diverse projects and contribute to a dynamic team dedicated to fulfilling client requirements and addressing their challenges.

Your Responsibilities
  • Collaborate closely with the Supervising Engineer for guidance and mentorship.
  • Design and evaluate grading and drainage systems.
  • Conduct foundation design and assessments.
  • Oversee the design and analysis of driveways and access areas.
  • Lead civil engineering efforts for all projects and the capital program.
  • Foster positive relationships with internal teams supporting project initiatives.
  • Maintain strong connections with suppliers, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure project quality, timelines, and budget adherence.
  • Exercise ethical decision-making regarding company resources and conduct, adhering to WSP's Code of Conduct.
  • Take on additional tasks as required by business needs.
Qualifications

Essential Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in civil engineering.
  • Experience in consulting environments is preferred.
  • Proficiency in various engineering design software and tools.
  • Strong self-management skills with a focus on detail and the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with remote team members via digital platforms.
  • Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and compliance with health and safety policies.
  • Flexibility to work hours that align with project demands.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary for project requirements.
  • Possession of Engineer in Training Certification.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in Engineering.
  • Professional Licensure or eligibility for PE Licensing.

Compensation
Expected Salary Range: $73,100 - $114,000

WSP USA offers this compensation range based on the successful applicant's qualifications and internal equity considerations. The final salary may vary based on experience and other factors.
