Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Patrol and Surveillance: Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas to deter and detect unauthorized activity, and monitor surveillance cameras and alarm systems to identify and respond to any suspicious behavior or security breaches.
  • Security Inspections: Conduct thorough inspections of the premises to ensure all doors, windows, and access points are secure.
  • Emergency Response: Respond promptly to requests for assistance or emergencies, such as medical incidents, disturbances, or accidents.
  • Log Keeping: Maintain accurate logs and reports detailing security incidents, disturbances, and any other noteworthy activities that occur during shifts.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by assisting visitors, employees, and clients with inquiries, directions, and other needs.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with local law enforcement agencies and emergency responders when necessary.
  • Compliance: Follow company policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations, to uphold security standards and ensure compliance.
  • Training: Participate in ongoing training programs to enhance knowledge of security protocols, emergency response procedures, and relevant laws.
Requirements
  • Background: Military service in an occupational specialty related to law enforcement, such as military police, combat arms, or special forces.
  • Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of experience carrying a firearm as a law enforcement officer, with zero disciplinary action for the misuse of firearms or use of force.
  • Security Certification: 40 Hour state certification and PERC Card.
  • Firearm Requirements: Firearm's Owners Identification Card required (FOID).
  • Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of legal guidelines for area security and public safety, familiarity with report writing, excellent surveillance and observation skills, and a valid driver's license.
  • Education: High school diploma required; further education in security administration or a similar field preferred.
