Job Summary

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and integrating custom electronic security systems for a variety of settings. This role requires strong technical expertise and the ability to provide technical information and support to project management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and integrate sub-systems within the specified security systems
  • Compile required submittal documentation for submission to the project architect, consultant, and owner
  • Oversee and complete detailed design drawings to effectively communicate the design to internal and external members of the project team
  • Research and offer engineering solutions to benefit the customer
  • Design systems that are cost-effective, efficient, and reliable for both the company and the customer
  • Provide timely and accurate information to project management to support product and vendor selection on each assigned project
  • Support engineered designs through fabrication, factory testing, on-site installation, and commissioning
  • Create and complete test sheets and oversee factory testing of all points and systems
  • Oversee site start-up and testing of systems
  • Schedule and conduct project reviews with project management, programming, and fabrication to ensure compliance with the design intent
  • Knowledge of wiring practices/procedures/installation (including fiber optic)
  • Enclosure and rack layout experience
  • Lift up to 10 lbs
  • Perform basic office duties, including typing, copying, emailing, etc.
  • Communicate regularly and effectively as appropriate
  • Maintain the standards, culture, and values of CML Security
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Skills
  • BS in Electrical Engineering or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Experience with AutoCAD (AutoCAD Electrical preferred)
