Electronics Systems Designer

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and integrating custom electronic security systems for a variety of settings. This role requires strong technical expertise and the ability to provide technical information and support to project management.
Key Responsibilities- Design and integrate sub-systems within the specified security systems
- Compile required submittal documentation for submission to the project architect, consultant, and owner
- Oversee and complete detailed design drawings to effectively communicate the design to internal and external members of the project team
- Research and offer engineering solutions to benefit the customer
- Design systems that are cost-effective, efficient, and reliable for both the company and the customer
- Provide timely and accurate information to project management to support product and vendor selection on each assigned project
- Support engineered designs through fabrication, factory testing, on-site installation, and commissioning
- Create and complete test sheets and oversee factory testing of all points and systems
- Oversee site start-up and testing of systems
- Schedule and conduct project reviews with project management, programming, and fabrication to ensure compliance with the design intent
- Knowledge of wiring practices/procedures/installation (including fiber optic)
- Enclosure and rack layout experience
- Lift up to 10 lbs
- Perform basic office duties, including typing, copying, emailing, etc.
- Communicate regularly and effectively as appropriate
- Maintain the standards, culture, and values of CML Security
- Other duties as assigned
- BS in Electrical Engineering or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Experience with AutoCAD (AutoCAD Electrical preferred)
