Healthcare Epidemiologist

About the Position:

We are seeking a highly skilled Healthcare Epidemiologist to join our team at the Public Health Trust of Dade Co. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional to make a meaningful impact in preventing hospital-acquired infections (HAIs).

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the development and implementation of infection prevention policies and procedures.
• Assist with HAI surveillance reporting, research projects, and policy development.
• Maintain current knowledge of communicable diseases, nosocomial infections, and relevant healthcare regulations.
• Collaborate with medical staff, nursing staff, and ancillary department personnel to implement infection control measures.

Requirements:

1-3 years of related experience, high school diploma is required; Bachelor's degree is preferred.

Estimated Annual Salary: $68,000 - $90,000 based on location and industry standards.

Work Environment:

Extended standing or walking, ability to carry objects weighing 21 to 50 pounds, occasional outdoor exposures, must wear PPE when exposed to infectious/clinical hospital environment.
