Job Description


We are seeking a highly skilled Critical Care Nurse Specialist to join our team at Wesley Medical Center. As a critical care nurse, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in line with the requirements of the department and the standards of practice for the relevant state and specialty.




  • Assess patients' conditions during admission and each scheduled shift, promptly identifying and reporting any changes in patient status
  • Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by medical providers, ensuring thorough and timely documentation of care administration in patients' medical records
  • Administer prescribed medications, monitor patients for therapeutic response, and take appropriate action in the event of an unintended response to medication
  • Provide exceptional care by responding promptly to patients' requests, proactively anticipating patients' needs, and resolving them
  • Educate patients, families, and caregivers about patients' medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, possible side effects, and follow-up measures, ensuring complete understanding by translating complex medical terminology


Required Skills and Qualifications


To be successful in this role, you must have:



  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification
  • Registered Nurse licensure in Kansas
  • 1-2 years of experience in critical care nursing
