We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Critical Care team as a Float Nurse. As a Float Nurse, you will have the opportunity to work in various critical care units, including ICU, PCNT, IVCU, IMCU, and Medical Surgical, gaining experience in acute care settings with differing levels of patient acuity and care protocol.
Key Responsibilities- Carry out physician orders within the critical care setting.
- Demonstrate critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, and leadership in planning for the care of the patient.
- Set priorities and modify patient care in response to changing and sometimes stressful situations by utilizing problem-solving skills and exhibiting good judgment.
- Coordinate both patient admission and discharge plans with case manager, patient, and family while maintaining a written plan of nursing care or critical pathways and communicating clinical outcomes as well as needed education to patient and/or family.
- Members of our team actively participate in the orientation of new personnel, attend weekly team meetings, and have willingness to identify or assume activities relative to the developmental needs of unit and the nursing department.
- Bachelor's of Science Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- 1-3 years of acute care nursing experience preferred.
- BLS (American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS or American Red Cross BLS).
- ACLS (American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS or American Red Cross BLS).
