Ultrasonographer - Radiology Specialist

Responsibilities:
* Perform ultrasound procedures, including abdominal, testicular, breast, thyroid, vascular, and soft tissue scans
* Ensure sterile and aseptic techniques are used at all times
* Explain procedures to patients and prepare them for exams
* Evaluate clinical history and document patient information
* Recognize the need for additional imaging and/or positioning to fully illustrate the area in question
Requirements:
* Completion of an accredited ultrasound program
* Clinical experience performing abdominal and small part imaging in a patient care setting
* Evidence of annual completion of health-related courses and/or seminars with a certificate and/or CEU's in accordance with ARRT
* Current or working on registration by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) in physics
* Abdomen, Breast, and Vascular certifications preferred
Working Conditions:
* Work is performed in an outpatient environment
* Ability to work in a dimly lit environment
* Hearing within, or correctable to, normal range, vision correctable to 20/20, and manual dexterity for the operation of office equipment
