We are seeking an Executive Director of Fundraising to join our team at The Alfred & Adele Davis Academy (The Davis Academy). As a member of our leadership team, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing a comprehensive fundraising strategy to achieve $1.9M annual objectives. This position requires a seasoned professional with a proven track record in non-profit fundraising, particularly in major donor cultivation, grant writing, and endowment and legacy giving.
About the Role:
This key leadership position will drive priority setting, time management, and orchestration of all development activities. You will supervise and mentor the Annual Giving Manager and Database Manager, serve as the main point of contact for existing foundation and corporate relationships, and create and implement alumni engagement, donor recognition, and community cultivation programs and events. Additionally, you will oversee all fundraising operations, including reconciliations, reporting, gift processing, and donor acknowledgements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy
- Drive priority setting, time management, and orchestration of all development activities
- Supervise and mentor the Annual Giving Manager and Database Manager

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree with 7+ years' experience in non-profit fundraising
- Demonstrated success closing gifts of five and six-figures; experience with legacy giving and endowments preferred
- High-level strategic thinking and planning; ability to meet goals and objectives
- Strong presence with the ability to inspire, influence, and build credibility with families, donors, leadership, and staff
- Familiarity with independent school/Jewish day school and/or Jewish communal fundraising highly preferred
- Excellent donor relations and customer service skills
- Highly effective verbal and written communication skills
Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per year depending on experience.
