We are seeking a skilled MRI Imaging Specialist to join our team at LewisGale Medical Center. As an MRI Imaging Specialist, you will be responsible for performing magnetic resonance imaging procedures using MRI equipment and your knowledge of anatomy/patient positioning for optimum imaging.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Explain the procedure to the patient and address any questions or concerns they may have.
  • Perform MRI examinations with proper contrast media protocols.
  • Identify anatomical orientation on all required images and ensure proper film identification.
  • Evaluate quality of MRI procedure and determine if additional imaging is required, prior to communicating procedure information to radiologist.
  • Participate in on-call duties as assigned to meet department needs.

Requirements:

  • Required: 6 months experience as Radiologic Technologist.
  • Preferred: One year of experience as an MRI or CT technologist.
