We are seeking a highly skilled Lumber Inspector and Grading Specialist to join our team at Northwest Hardwoods. This role is a great opportunity for individuals with strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills to contribute to the growth and success of our organization.
About the RoleThis position is responsible for inspecting lumber to ensure it meets our proprietary grades, maintaining grading accuracy in a fast-paced environment, and working closely with our Quality Control team to develop and implement current grade guidelines. The successful candidate will have strong knowledge of NHLA certification or equivalent experience and be able to communicate effectively with colleagues and clients.
Responsibilities- Inspect lumber to ensure it meets our proprietary grades;
- Maintain grading accuracy in a fast-paced environment;
- Work with our Quality Control team to develop and implement current grade guidelines;
- NHLA certification or equivalent experience;
- Exhibit high levels of flexibility and adaptability;
- Excellent attendance record and punctuality;
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal;
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and demonstrate self-motivation;
- Must have legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis;
