Job Title: Travel LPN

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team on a travel contract basis. As an LPN, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to patients and families in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Job Summary:

The LPN will work under the direct supervision of a physician and Nurse Manager to provide competent and compassionate nursing care to patients and families. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in nursing principles, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide physical care and emotional support to patients and families
  • Participate in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care and treatment plans
  • Observe, report, and record pertinent patient information into electronic health records
  • Administer medications within defined parameters
  • Perform nursing procedures within established parameters
  • Photograph patients with various skin conditions
  • Participate in Quality Assurance activities
  • Triaging of patient urgent clinical calls
  • Inform patients of pathology, lab results, and plan of care
  • Utilize In-Basket messages to monitor biopsies and therapies
  • Provide clinical nursing coverage across Medical Dermatology specialty services
  • Obtain prior authorizations for medications
  • Participate in developing and implementing new ideas in nursing practice
Requirements:
  • BLS and ACLS certification
  • National Institutes of Health (NIH) certification
  • Certified Principal Investigator (CPI) certification
  • Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Strong technical skills
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Passionate about patient care
  • Minimum of two years of current LPN Telemetry experience
  • Graduate from a fully accredited LPN program
  • Active unencumbered LPN New York state license
  • One year of Epic experience
