About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operating Room Nurse to join our team at Midwest Vision Partners. As a key member of our surgical team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest level of patient care and safety in the operating room.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preoperative Patient Assessment: Conduct thorough preoperative assessments of patients to identify potential risks and develop effective care plans.
  • Perioperative Care: Provide high-quality perioperative care to patients, including administering medications, positioning patients, and maintaining a safe and clean operating environment.
  • Equipment Management: Ensure that all equipment is functioning properly and safely, and that supplies are readily available as needed.
  • Communication: Maintain open and effective communication with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Quality Improvement: Participate in quality improvement initiatives to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to enhance patient care and safety.
Requirements
  • Education: Active RN license and current BLS and ALS certification.
  • Experience: At least two years of experience as an Operating Room Nurse.
  • Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
