About the Job

We are seeking a skilled Motor Transport Operator to join our team at the U.S. Army. As a Motor Transport Operator, you will be responsible for supervising or operating wheel vehicles to transport personnel and cargo. This is a critical role in the Army's support and sustainment structure, providing advanced mobility on and off the battlefield.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and Maintain Vehicles: You will be responsible for operating and maintaining a variety of wheel vehicles, including trucks and trailers, to transport personnel and cargo.
  • Manage Load and Safety: You will be responsible for managing the load and safety of personnel being transported, ensuring that all safety protocols are followed.
  • Oversee Cargo Loading and Unloading: You will be responsible for overseeing the loading and unloading of cargo on vehicles and trailers, ensuring that all cargo is properly secured and accounted for.
  • Employ Convoy Defense Techniques: You will be responsible for employing convoy defense techniques to ensure the safe transportation of personnel and cargo.
  • Identify and Report Vehicle Deficiencies: You will be responsible for identifying and reporting any vehicle deficiencies, ensuring that all vehicles are in good working condition.

Requirements

  • ASVAB Scores: You must have a good understanding of the ASVAB scores and how they relate to your strengths and interests.
  • Driver Education: You must have experience in driver education and a strong interest in driving and mechanics.
