Automotive Service Technician

As a skilled technician, you will work alongside a team of experts to diagnose and repair client and dealership vehicles. Your role will involve maintaining a positive relationship with clients who return with unsatisfactory work. Key Responsibilities
  • Examine and diagnose vehicles to identify areas for repair
  • Discuss repairs with the shop foreman or service advisor to ensure accurate estimates
  • Communicate additional service requests to the service advisor to ensure seamless communication
  • Plan work procedures in cooperation with the shop foreman to optimize efficiency
  • Provide labor time estimates to the service advisor to ensure transparency
  • Monitor repair time and update the service advisor regularly to ensure timely completion
  • Maintain strict adherence to dealership policies on vehicle care and operation to ensure quality service
  • Complete detailed documentation for client repairs to ensure accuracy
  • Assist in mentoring technician trainees to share knowledge and expertise
  • Attend company and factory training to stay up-to-date on the latest techniques and technologies
  • Stay current with factory technical bulletins to ensure compliance with industry standards
  • Understand and follow federal, state, and local regulations regarding hazardous waste disposal


RequirementsEducation and/or Experience
  • High school diploma or GED (general equivalency diploma)
  • Manufacturer certification preferred
  • Experience with various brands preferred
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
  • Valid driver's license
