Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Mental Health Technician to join our Day Treatment team. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will work under the supervision of the Day Treatment Skills Trainer Supervisor to provide education, direction, and modeling to assist clients with their treatment goals.

Responsibilities
  • Provide emotional support, leadership, and direction to clients in the Day Treatment program.
  • Consult with team members, agency personnel, and family members regarding current client issues.
  • Implement treatment programming in a classroom environment as a member of an interdisciplinary team of professionals.
  • Engage in positive and appropriate relationship-building with clients, their resources, and coworkers.
  • Ensure safety, security, and confidentiality of clients in classroom and community-based settings.
  • Facilitate and lead individual and group skills training with clients in accordance with their treatment plans.
  • Monitor and document client progress toward goal attainment in accordance with agency standards.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in behavioral sciences or equivalent education/experience.
  • Experience working with youth, K-12, in mental health and/or school settings.
  • Ability to be available M-F during program hours for full-time positions and at least two days a week for on-call positions.
  • Willingness to learn about client treatment plans and apply varying interventions.
