About the Role

Rochester Regional Health is seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team in Rehab Services at Unity Hospital. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in restoring or improving each patient's optimal level of function, independence, and quality of life.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluation & Development: Perform comprehensive initial evaluations of referred patients using standardized tests and clinical observations; develop and implement treatment plans, including short- and long-term goals and methods to achieve them; adjust treatment plans and goals as needed.
  • Documentation & Communication: Maintain accurate documentation of patient evaluation, treatment, progress, and discharge status; counsel and teach patients and families; coordinate care plans with other involved health professionals and discuss changes in treatment programs with medical directors.
  • Employee Development: Assist with the supervision and guidance of new personnel, assistants, students, and volunteers as assigned; develop and conduct in-service training programs.
Requirements
  • Degree in Occupational Therapy, bachelors, masters, or doctorate.
  • Three to six months of previous experience preferred.
  • Compassionate, kind, and patient-focused.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
