Sunstar Americas, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our product development team, you will be responsible for managing projects from concept to launch, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of high-quality products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Develop and implement project timelines, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Product Development: Design and develop primary and secondary packaging that meets business objectives, working closely with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Supplier Management: Directly interface with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of components and materials, and oversee project start-ups at supplier sites.
  • Quality Assurance: Direct package component qualification from specification approval to initiation of component testing and interpretation of results.
  • Technical Expertise: Utilize CAD and other software programs to create timely, complete, and accurate specifications, and maintain knowledge of industry advances through supplier presentations, plant visits, and seminars.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Packaging)
  • Experience: 0-2 years Product Engineering experience, with experience in development of new products and packaging, and knowledge of manufacturing processes, testing procedures, and ISO regulations.
  • Skills: Computer proficiency in Lotus Notes, Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and Access, project management skills, technical skills in manufacturing processes and methods, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and ability to present to senior-level management.
