**Key Responsibilities:**
* Conduct psychological screenings and assessments based on review of available records and clinical interviews with inmates
* Confer with other clinical staff to gather and provide information concerning patient psychological problems
* Develop, implement, and modify individual treatment plans based on evaluation of needs and level of functioning
* Make regular rounds in segregation or other confined housing areas to assess inmate adjustment and mental health treatment needs
* Provide appropriate mental health assessments, counseling, and confrontation avoidance interventions to address the needs of inmates in crisis
* Consult with psychiatry, mental health, nursing, medical, educational, chaplain, security staff, and others as applicable
**Requirements:**
* Master's or doctoral degree in psychology or a related field
* Licensure or certification as a psychologist in the state of practice
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work effectively in a team environment
* Strong knowledge of psychological counseling theory and techniques
