Job SummaryWe are seeking a Kennel Assistant to provide exceptional care and support to our patients and clients. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and safety of our boarding area, as well as providing top-notch care to our patients, including walking, feeding, and administering medication as needed. This is a part-time position, working 3-hour shifts, 4 weekdays per week, with rotating weekend shifts.
Key Responsibilities- Provide exceptional patient care: Ensure the cleanliness and safety of our boarding area, and provide top-notch care to our patients, including walking, feeding, and administering medication as needed.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment: Regularly clean, disinfect, and maintain kennels, cages, runs, and stalls to ensure a clean and safe environment for our patients.
- Communicate effectively: Communicate with clients and team members to ensure successful client care, and convey boarding outcomes to clients and teammates.
- Collaborate with the team: Work collaboratively with our team members to ensure a positive and supportive work environment.
- Previous veterinary experience: Previous experience in a veterinary setting is preferred.
- Client satisfaction: A strong focus on client satisfaction and a commitment to delivering exceptional service.
- Physical demands: Ability to lift patients up to 25 pounds, and ability to lift patients over 25 pounds with assistance.
- OSHA safety techniques: Practices OSHA safety techniques, including proper PPE.
- Personal pet discount: Eligible for a personal pet discount.
