Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Accountant II to join our team at Taylor Morrison. As a key member of our accounting department, you will be responsible for preparing monthly journal entries, reconciling balance sheet accounts, and assisting with financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements.
  • Account Reconciliation: Reconcile all balance sheet accounts, including intercompany and bank accounts.
  • Financial Analysis: Assist with monthly analysis and reporting of financial statements.
  • Payroll Processing: Assist with biweekly payroll, including sales commissions.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and procedures.
  • Auditor Support: Assist with internal and external audits as needed.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Skills: Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and practices, computer literacy, including extensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience: Homebuilding/job costing experience preferred.
  • Personal Qualities: Ability to work independently in a fast-paced dynamic environment, strong analytical skills, and a positive attitude.
