Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Server to join our Food and Beverage team at Big Horn Corporation. As a Server, you will be responsible for providing exceptional dining experiences for our members, ensuring accurate orders, and maintaining a welcoming and professional atmosphere throughout the shift.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain a friendly and professional demeanor throughout the shift, addressing members by their last name and appropriate title or honorific.
  • Maintain a "members first" mentality, ensuring that every interaction is focused on providing exceptional service.
  • Attend pre-shift meetings to stay informed about menu changes, promotions, and other important information.
  • Ensure accurate orders, confirmed with guests and members, and accurately place orders in the POS system.
  • Communicate any special requests with the back-of-house team and demonstrate in-depth menu knowledge.
  • Display excellent use of the POS system and understanding of meal timing, as well as basic wine knowledge and wine service.
  • Make recommendations and create a dining experience that exceeds member expectations.
  • Upsell in a non-pushy manner, while maintaining a focus on providing exceptional service.
  • Prepare items required for the shift, including glassware, flatware, and items for the next shift.
  • Break down and reset the dining area, preparing for the following shift.
  • Assist other team members and positions as needed, maintaining a positive and supportive team environment.
  • Maintain tables, side stations, and restaurant areas throughout the shift, ensuring a clean and welcoming atmosphere.
  • Act proactively to avoid or remedy any potential issues, addressing concerns with management as soon as possible.
Requirements
  • Minimum six months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination and experience.
  • Preferred requirements/skillset: 12 months serving in a fast-paced/high-volume restaurant, excellent communication, ability to gain and convey product and menu knowledge.
Physical Demands

Frequently stands, walks, tastes, smells, talks, listens, uses hands, and reaches with hands and arms. Occasionally sits, climbs, balances, stoops, kneels, crawls, or crouches. Occasionally lifts up to 50 pounds. Available to work flexible hours.

Environment/Noise

Occasionally works in wet or humid conditions (non-weather), near moving mechanical parts, near fumes or airborne particles, with toxic or caustic chemicals, and in extreme heat or cold (non-weather). Noise level is moderate.

Special Notes

Big Horn Corporation is a drug and alcohol-free workplace. Cellphones may not be used in certain work areas or specific periods, and you may be required to store your phone as required by management.

Certificates/Licenses

Food Safety and Applicable Sanitation Training. RBS or equivalent Alcohol Awareness Training. This position is seasonal.

Salary: $17.00 per hour.
