  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering with a minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree in Engineering with three (3) years of applicable experience, or a Ph.D. in a pertinent technical field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of complex technical and professional disciplines requiring a four-year degree or equivalent, along with extensive practical application of related concepts, practices, and methodologies.
  • Demonstrated senior-level proficiency with significant job-related experience.
  • Proven experience with FPGA implementations using VHDL is essential.
  • Ability to mentor and guide others as a lead practitioner.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience with Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGA) and familiarity with XILINX as a development platform.
  • Knowledge in RF engineering.
  • Experience in schematic capture and Printed Circuit Board (PCB) layout.

SECURITY REQUIREMENTS:

This position requires U.S. citizenship and a U.S. government security clearance at the Secret level.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate with a team of engineers to support requirements development, system design, allocation of requirements to subsystems, subsystem development, system testing and integration of complex hardware and software designs, system delivery, and post-delivery support.
  • Document requirements, conduct preliminary and critical design, and integrate and test complex hardware and software systems.
  • Develop, document, and propose solutions or enhancements for technical engineering challenges.
  • Facilitate the integration of hardware and software into ground-based radar systems.
  • Willingness to travel periodically to testing locations as required.
