Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and diligent Seasonal Janitor to maintain the cleanliness and sanitation of our facilities. The role involves cleaning a variety of areas including floors, restrooms, breakrooms, offices, and warehouse spaces. The ideal candidate will be skilled in operating cleaning equipment, capable of performing physical tasks, and committed to ensuring a hygienic environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Sanitation and Cleaning:
    • Clean and sanitize floors, restrooms, breakrooms, offices, and warehouse areas.
    • Empty trash receptacles and recycling bins.
    • Continuously clean around machines and conveyors.
    • Scrub frameworks and non-food surfaces.
    • Perform general housekeeping duties to keep the facility organized and clean.
  • Equipment Operation:
    • Operate vacuum cleaners, automatic floor scrubbers, and other hand equipment effectively and safely.
  • Record Keeping and Inventory:
    • Maintain accurate sanitation records.
    • Monitor and manage inventory of cleaning supplies and paper products.
  • Additional Duties:
    • Perform other janitorial and maintenance tasks as assigned.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to bend, reach, push, pull, sit, talk, twist, hear, walk, stand, climb, stoop, kneel, squat, and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Constant walking and standing on concrete floors.
Working Conditions:
  • Frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and moving mechanical parts.
  • Occasionally exposed to high, precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, outside weather conditions, extreme heat, and risk of electrical shock.
  • Frequent exposure to loud noise and some outdoor weather conditions.
Safety Requirements:
  • Adhere to all safety equipment requirements, including bump hats, ear and eye protection, hairnets, and other safety gear as needed.
Qualifications:
  • Experience: Previous janitorial or custodial experience preferred but not required.
  • Skills: Ability to operate cleaning equipment and use cleaning chemicals properly.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong focus on cleanliness and sanitation.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to work various shifts and adapt to changing priorities.
