Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Process Chemist to join our team and oversee the synthesis of prostaglandin derivatives. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, independence, and the ability to troubleshoot production processes. The successful candidate will work closely with our Director of Process Chemistry and the Chemical Process Development team to support R&D, analytical, kilo-lab, and production operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee prostaglandin production and ensure efficient execution in kilo-labs using 20/50/100L reactors.
• Troubleshoot production challenges and ensure smooth operation across cross-functional teams.
• Monitor process parameters and ensure compliance with EHS standards.

Collaboration and Technical Proficiency

• Work with our CSO and research team to optimize synthetic processes.
• Provide process feedback and make necessary adjustments for improved efficiency and product yield.
• Utilize analytical techniques such as HPLC, LC-MS, NMR, and IR for process monitoring and troubleshooting.

Reporting and Documentation

• Maintain accurate process documentation, including batch records, log sheets, and troubleshooting reports.
• Report regularly to the COO on process status, challenges, and improvements.

Requirements

• PhD in Organic Chemistry, Process Chemistry, or a related field with 2+ years of experience.
• MSc in Organic Chemistry or a related field with 3-5+ years of experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related field with 5-8+ years of relevant experience in process chemistry.
