Job Title: Radiologic Technologist - Radiographer
Job Summary:
The Radiologic Technologist - Radiographer produces high-quality diagnostic images to assist in patient care. This role requires hands-on expertise in radiography, attention to detail, and strong patient care skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic radiographic examinations with precision, ensuring patient safety and proper imaging techniques.
- Operate radiography equipment and ensure compliance with radiation safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate records, labeling images correctly, and documenting procedures as per regulatory standards.
- Communicate effectively with patients, explaining procedures and positioning them for optimal imaging results.
- Participate in administrative tasks such as scheduling and patient records management.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Radiologic Technologist.
- Education: Associate's Degree in Radiologic Technology or a related field.
- Licensure: Valid NYSDOH license as a Radiologic Technologist.
- Certification: ARRT certification in Radiography (https://www.arrt.org/pages/verify-credentials).
- Preferred Certification: BLS (Basic Life Support).
Additional Requirements:
- Proficiency in English (speaking, reading, and writing).
- Willingness to work evening shifts, alternating weekends, and holidays as scheduled.
Job Description:
Location: Elmhurst, NY 11373
Duration: 2 Months
Hours: 40 hours per week (8-hour shifts, 5 days per week)
Shift Schedule: 4:00 PM - 12:30 AM with alternating weekends and holiday requirements. Initial training period of two weeks (9:00 AM - 5:00 PM), including EPIC training.
