Job Overview

Universal Alloy Corporation (UAC) is a leading manufacturer of aerospace products, serving the industry for over four decades. We are seeking a skilled Heavy Press Pack Operator to join our team in Canton.

Key Responsibilities
  • Exercise and promote safety in the workplace
  • Examine paperwork for special instructions and understand tools and their usage
  • Inspect parts for defects and verify piece count, length, and shape
  • Sand and buff parts for quality blemishes and calculate weight and length
  • Identify special instructions and complete hard cards after tasks are finished
  • Assist with monthly inventory and understand pack schedules
  • Locate and identify required material and stencil parts accurately
  • Operate saw for dunnage and make stable bundles
  • Band and label bundled parts and handle and pack material in wooden or cardboard boxes
  • Apply corrosion inhibiting oil and complete paperwork as necessary
  • Pack flatbed trucks and rail cars according to specifications
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • No prior experience required
  • Certifications in Crane, Forklift, Lock-out/Tag-out, and Pallet Jack
Working Conditions

1st shift schedule, with regular standing, walking, and use of hands. Must be able to lift 50 pounds at any time during the shift.
