We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Labor and Delivery team at Saint Agnes Medical Center.

Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery will provide high-quality patient care to mothers and newborns during the labor, delivery, and postpartum periods. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Assess and monitor patients throughout the labor, delivery, and postpartum periods.
  • Identify complications during labor and take appropriate action.
  • Monitor contractions and assist patients with breathing techniques.
  • Perform basic IV and central line skills.
  • Perform phlebotomy skills.
  • Administer pain medication as ordered and other medications to address specific medical conditions.
  • Take and record patient vital signs and ascertain fetal well-being.
  • Manage life-sustaining physiological functions in unstable patients.
  • Clean and maintain patient rooms and equipment.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
  • Current nursing license in good standing.
  • Minimum of one year Labor and Delivery experience.
  • AHA BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN, and Fetal Monitoring certifications.
