Job Title: Class A CDL Driver

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Class A CDL driver to join our team at Structural Component Systems, Inc. in Fremont, NE.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for safely delivering building materials and components on flatbeds, step decks, and roll-off type trailers. This role requires a valid Class A driver's license, a clean driving record, and a minimum of 2 years of driving experience, preferably with flatbed trailers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive safely and obey all DOT regulations and rules.
  • Maintain accurate DOT hours of service logs.
  • Perform pre- and post-trip inspections.
  • Convey loads to their destination in a safe and timely manner.
  • Inspect loads prior to departure and secure them with cables, chains, binders, and straps.
  • Assist with loading and unloading materials and coordinate activities of workers helping to load and unload.
  • Operate a truck-mounted forklift at job sites.
  • Ensure that products delivered are damage-free and notify dispatch immediately if damaged.
  • Check off all materials on load sheets to ensure all products are delivered.
  • Take jobsite photos and forward them to the dispatcher.
  • Exhibit a positive attitude and courteous behavior to customers and fellow employees.
Requirements:
  • Valid Class A driver's license.
  • Clean driving record.
  • Minimum 2 years of driving experience, preferably with flatbed trailers.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on an occasional basis.
  • Ability to climb into the cab, climb on the back of the trailer, and throw straps to secure loads occasionally.

  • $2,000 hiring bonus upon hire, broken down into $500 after 90 days, $500 after 6 months, and $1,000 after one year.
