  • Review the Daily Prep List at the beginning of each shift to identify assigned tasks and prioritize preparation of items that are running low.
  • Adhere to established portion sizes, cooking techniques, quality benchmarks, and kitchen protocols.
  • Maintain a clean and sanitized workspace, including all kitchen surfaces, equipment, and utensils.
  • Store ingredients in appropriate containers and designated areas to prevent spoilage and ensure freshness.
  • Prepare a variety of dishes according to customer requests or supervisor instructions, following approved cooking methods.
  • Monitor and document food temperatures and the conditions of storage areas, such as refrigerators and freezers.
  • Prepare ingredients by washing, peeling, and cutting fruits and vegetables as needed.
  • Accurately measure and portion ingredients according to recipe specifications, ensuring proper labeling and storage.
  • Dispose of waste and maintain cleanliness in kitchen garbage receptacles.
  • Assist culinary staff with various tasks and ensure they have the necessary supplies.
  • Transport food supplies and equipment between storage and preparation areas.
  • Utilize manual and electric tools for food preparation tasks.
  • Report any equipment malfunctions and low inventory levels to supervisors promptly.
  • Follow Standard Recipes for all food preparations to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Complete checklists for opening and closing procedures and assist team members as needed.
  • Participate in scheduled team meetings and contribute ideas for operational improvements.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to meet customer needs and support restaurant operations.
  • Provide coverage for team members as necessary to maintain service standards.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Keep accurate records of food usage and inventory levels.
  • Prepare meats, poultry, and seafood for cooking by cutting, slicing, or grinding.
  • Restock refrigerators and assist with buffet setups.
