Key Responsibilities:
- Embody and uphold the core values of Decoys Seafood Ops LLC, ensuring an exceptional dining experience through outstanding service and quality products.
- Review the Daily Prep List at the beginning of each shift to identify assigned tasks and prioritize preparation of items that are running low.
- Adhere to established portion sizes, cooking techniques, quality benchmarks, and kitchen protocols.
- Maintain a clean and sanitized workspace, including all kitchen surfaces, equipment, and utensils.
- Store ingredients in appropriate containers and designated areas to prevent spoilage and ensure freshness.
- Prepare a variety of dishes according to customer requests or supervisor instructions, following approved cooking methods.
- Monitor and document food temperatures and the conditions of storage areas, such as refrigerators and freezers.
- Prepare ingredients by washing, peeling, and cutting fruits and vegetables as needed.
- Accurately measure and portion ingredients according to recipe specifications, ensuring proper labeling and storage.
- Dispose of waste and maintain cleanliness in kitchen garbage receptacles.
- Assist culinary staff with various tasks and ensure they have the necessary supplies.
- Transport food supplies and equipment between storage and preparation areas.
- Utilize manual and electric tools for food preparation tasks.
- Report any equipment malfunctions and low inventory levels to supervisors promptly.
- Follow Standard Recipes for all food preparations to ensure consistency and quality.
- Complete checklists for opening and closing procedures and assist team members as needed.
- Participate in scheduled team meetings and contribute ideas for operational improvements.
- Collaborate with colleagues to meet customer needs and support restaurant operations.
- Provide coverage for team members as necessary to maintain service standards.
- Keep accurate records of food usage and inventory levels.
- Prepare meats, poultry, and seafood for cooking by cutting, slicing, or grinding.
- Restock refrigerators and assist with buffet setups.
