We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team in diagnostic imaging. This position requires experience with CT scans and the ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate radiologic equipment to produce high-quality radiographs (x-rays) for diagnostic purposes.
  • Adjust equipment controls to set exposure factors and ensure optimal image quality.
  • Explain procedures to patients to reduce anxiety and obtain cooperation.
  • Monitor accessory equipment and assist physicians with special radiographic procedures.

Requirements:

  • Associate or Bachelor's Degree from an ARRT-approved program in Radiologic Technology or Limited Radiologic Technology.
  • Valid, current State of Iowa Permit to Practice and ARRT certification or registry eligibility.
  • Hospital-based experience preferred.

Working Conditions:

Employees are subject to the risks inherent to working in a critical access hospital environment, including exposure to inside environmental conditions, chemicals, infectious and contagious diseases, and exposure to unpleasant elements.

Contact with patients under wide variety of circumstances such as emergency or crisis situations.

Environment may cause high stress levels due to interruptions, high volume, urgency of issues, and interactions with a wide variety of personalities and departments.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and the risk of radiation exposure.

The employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles.

The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, toxic or caustic chemicals, outside weather conditions, and risk of electrical shock.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
