Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and implementation of HVAC flow, process flow, and rotating equipment systems for large projects
  • Develop and maintain piping and instrumentation diagrams, system descriptions, and mechanical equipment lists
  • Conduct sizing calculations and vendor document reviews to ensure compliance with industry standards
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement mechanical equipment design and material handling systems
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of ASRAE, ARI, NFPA, SMACN, and ASME National Codes and Standards
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and project teams
  • Perform field walk-downs as needed to ensure compliance with project requirements

Requirements:

  • B.S. in Mechanical Engineering with 10+ years of experience in the nuclear or commercial industry
  • Experience with 2D MicroStation Computer-Aided Drafting and Design
  • Experience in the DOE complex preferred
  • Ability to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization
  • US Citizenship required for facility credentials/authorization at this work location
