Join Our Team as a Part-Time Standardized Patient

We are seeking reliable and detail-oriented individuals to work as part-time Standardized Patients at the National Board of Examiners in Optometry (NBEO). As a Standardized Patient, you will play a crucial role in helping fourth-year optometry students from schools throughout North America prepare for their clinical skills exams.

About the Role

As a Standardized Patient, you will be responsible for simulating patient interactions with optometry students. This will involve undergoing a clinical skills exam, providing feedback on the student's performance, and participating in video and audio recordings for scoring and education purposes.

Requirements
  • Be comfortable being examined by health professionals
  • Be reliable and punctual
  • Possess great attention to detail
  • Be comfortable providing feedback about a candidate's performance
  • Be comfortable having exams video and audio recorded for scoring and education purposes
  • Be able to successfully pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening
What We Offer

We offer a flexible schedule, with the opportunity to work between 12 and 20 hours a week. You will also receive comprehensive training to prepare you for this role. In addition, you will be paid $16 an hour, with the opportunity to earn a $500 bonus.
