Position Overview: This role involves engaging in diverse tasks associated with the intricate and essential processes related to the receipt, management, transportation, shipment, storage, and handling of both inert and explosive missile components.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Collaborate with technical support and guidance, progressively taking on more responsibilities as expertise develops.

2. Participate in and/or execute the receipt, unpackaging, storage, and shipment of missile rocket motors.


3. Facilitate the transportation of inert and explosive missile components to and from designated storage areas and processing facilities utilizing various powered vehicles and specialized handling equipment.


4. Assist in documenting data, maintaining records, and processing paperwork related to the movement and management of missile components.

5. Support and/or perform dispatching duties.

6. Conduct grounding tests in designated areas using appropriate testing equipment (specific to certain locations).

7. Aid in the maintenance and repair of support and material handling equipment, including performing preventative maintenance tasks.

8. Assist in the movement of general freight items within the facility.

9. May be required to work at heights exceeding 20 feet with the necessary fall protection equipment.

Essential Qualifications:

1. A minimum of 12 months of relevant experience is typically required.

2. Basic understanding of rigging techniques for lifting and moving large, heavy objects.

3. Mechanical aptitude and proficiency in using standard hand tools.

4. Ability to read and adhere to checklists in the correct order.

5. Capability to work from U.S. Navy publications, missile processing documents, and vendor manuals.

6. Proficient in reading various gauges and instruments and accurately recording test data.

7. Ability to perform tasks in confined spaces as necessary.

8. Competent in computer usage and quick to learn new software applications.


9. Must qualify for and maintain necessary operating certifications/qualifications and/or licenses for operating cranes, forklifts, tow tractors, trucks, and other required equipment.


10. A valid state driver's license is required, and candidates must qualify for or possess a CDL with class 'H' endorsement, along with licenses for material handling equipment and explosives.


11. Must meet the requirements of the Personnel Reliability Program (PRP).

12. General computer literacy is essential.

13. Ability to interpret and follow established procedures.

14. Capability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

15. Strong work ethic is essential.

16. U.S. Citizenship is required, and dual citizenship is not permitted.

17. Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.

Preferred Skills:

1. Current CDL (Commercial Driver License).
2. Experience operating various types of equipment.

Security Clearance Requirement: This position necessitates a government security clearance; U.S. Citizenship is mandatory for consideration.

Clearance Level: Top Secret

Work Environment: This position requires onsite work at a designated facility.
