Job Title: Lead Registered Behavior Technician

Acorn Health is a leading provider of Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) therapy services, dedicated to delivering exceptional care to our clients. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Registered Behavior Technician to join our team.

Job Summary:

The Lead Registered Behavior Technician will play a critical role in supporting the development and implementation of ABA therapy programs for our clients. This position will involve providing coaching and mentorship to behavior technicians, as well as participating in the design and implementation of new hire training programs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular meetings with behavior technicians to discuss their progress, provide feedback, and address any challenges they may be facing.
  • Collaborate with BCBA Supervisors to identify areas of need for mentees and develop strategies to support their growth and development.
  • Conduct research to support problem-solving and provide training and support to behavior technicians to enable them to meet company performance standards.
  • Assist behavior technicians with submitting paperwork and applying for the Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification.
  • Provide direct ABA therapy services to clients as directed by supervisors.
  • Complete clinical data collection and daily paperwork in a detailed, accurate, and timely manner.
  • Prepare and assist in the preparation of instructional and clinical materials used with clients.
  • Participate in ongoing communication with client teams.
  • Implement Behavior Intervention Plans and Individual Treatment Plans correctly and as directed by supervising BCBA.
  • Respond and manage crisis situations as they relate to clients with potential for physical aggression.
  • Refer clients and parents to appropriate staff members regarding therapy or non-therapy related questions.
  • Attend client meetings as needed while being respectful and sensitive to family dynamics.
  • Maintain certifications and trainings required for the position.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience practicing in the field of ABA.
  • Experience training, coaching, or mentoring colleagues is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Central Reach, Microsoft Office, including Teams and Paylocity.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
