Firmware Developer

We are seeking a highly skilled Firmware Designer to join our team at Rose International. As a Firmware Designer, you will be responsible for developing and supporting software and firmware for wireless tank level monitoring systems.

This is a unique opportunity to work on a state-of-the-art IIoT solution set for managing tank levels in various industries. You will be working with a team of engineers to develop and support the monitoring product line, as well as interacting with a Web Data Center development team to integrate the monitoring products into our overall solution offerings.

• Develop and support software and firmware for wireless tank level monitoring systems
• Collaborate with a team of engineers to develop and support the monitoring product line
• Interact with a Web Data Center development team to integrate the monitoring products into our overall solution offerings
• Design and develop firmware for IIoT systems with features such as tank level measurement, battery operation, FOTA support, encryption/security, and event logging

• 1+ year of experience with embedded software development using C or C++ on STM32 and PIC18 processors
• Experience with embedded software development tools such as ST Cube, IAR, Keil, MPLAB, and XC compilers
• RTOS and multithreading experience
• IP networking, IoT, M2M, or similar concepts as well as cellular SMS experience
• Embedded cellular modem communication experience, particularly LTE CAT-M1 and NBIoT
• Serial communications experience (UART, SPI, I2C)
• Battery operated/low power systems experience
• Understanding of hardware design schematics as it relates to firmware development

• Industrial sensor measurements experience (voltage, current, magnetic, capacitance, time, time of flight)
• Radio networks experience (cellular, especially LTE, x, Bluetooth, Bluetooth Low Energy)
• Coding standards and best practices experience
• Microsoft Visual Studio.NET (C#), Python, or similar application development tools experience
