Administrative Support Specialist

LHH is currently partnering with a nonprofit association in the Washington, DC area to fill an Administrative Assistant position for a long-term contract. The role is 5 days a week onsite and offers a competitive salary based on experience. The ideal candidate will have experience utilizing MS Office suite, particularly Excel, and strong organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support to senior management and staff.
  • Organize and maintain files and records.
  • Schedule and coordinate meetings, appointments, and travel arrangements.
  • Draft, format, and edit documents, presentations, and marketing materials using Adobe InDesign.
  • Handle correspondence and communication with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Assist with project coordination and special assignments as needed.
  • Perform general office duties such as ordering supplies and managing office equipment.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as an Administrative Assistant or in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in Adobe InDesign and other Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A proactive and positive attitude with problem-solving skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associates or Bachelors degree preferred.
