Estimated Salary Range

The salary for this role is approximately $55-$60 per hour, with bonuses or other incentives offered separately. Offers will be made based on factors such as overall experience, job-related qualifications, location, certifications/training, and other relevant criteria.

Job Description
  • We are seeking an experienced Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team in evaluating the impact of available resident information on the assessment and treatment process.
  • The selected candidate will conduct thorough assessments of residents to determine and diagnose communicative deficits and equipment needs.
  • This role involves developing and implementing individualized treatment programs based on initial evaluations, containing achievable functional goals.
  • The successful candidate will also document resident progress, revise treatment plans as needed, and complete discharge summaries.
Responsibilities
  • Evaluate the impact of available resident information on the assessment and treatment process.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of residents to determine and diagnose communicative deficits and equipment needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment programs based on initial evaluations, containing achievable functional goals.
  • Document resident progress, revise treatment plans as needed, and complete discharge summaries.
  • Orient residents to program services and treatment procedures appropriate to their needs.
  • Work with nursing staff, residents, and families to maximize residents' use of functional abilities.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A graduate degree in Speech/Language Pathology.
  • A valid license in Speech Language Pathology services at the clinical level in the state of Maryland.
  • Certification by the American Speech/Language/Hearing Association.
  • Demonstrated competency in applying principles, methods, materials, and equipment used in Speech/Language Pathology to the resident population served in this facility.
