Anesthesiologist Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and certified Anesthesiologist to join our dynamic team at the University of Virginia Community Health Anesthesiology Department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for administering anesthesia and anesthesia-related care to patients, participating in pre-anesthetic preparation and evaluation, and providing medical supervision to Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs).

• Administer anesthesia and anesthesia-related care to patients
• Participate in pre-anesthetic preparation and evaluation
• Provide medical supervision to CRNAs
• Formulate a patient-specific plan for anesthesia care
• Implement and adjust patient physiologic condition as appropriate for type of anesthesia and specific patient needs
• Transfer responsibility for patient care to other qualified providers post-operatively to ensure continuity of care and patient safety
• Support operating room procedures
• Participate in additional areas of responsibility
• Assume responsibility for professional development of self and contribute to and assist with the professional development of others
• Call not to exceed 1 in 4
