Kaiser Permanente ICU Registered Nurse Job

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Intensive Care Unit team at Kaiser Permanente. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient care and work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will have a strong background in ICU nursing, with a focus on providing individualized care to critically ill patients. You will be responsible for assessing, planning, directing, and evaluating patient care, as well as coordinating with other healthcare disciplines to ensure seamless care transitions.

Responsibilities
  • Assess patients' biophysical, psychosocial, environmental, self-care, education needs, and discharge planning needs
  • Develop and implement individualized nursing plans of care, taking into account patients' developmental needs
  • Coordinate patient care activities and discharge planning with other hospital and clinic departments and community agencies
  • Delegate patient care activities appropriately, based on patients' condition and scope of practice of other healthcare providers
  • Establish priorities for patient care and initiate appropriate measures based on protocol for the management of medical and/or surgical patients
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • One (1) year recent ICU nursing experience or successful completion of the Kaiser ICU cross-training program
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program
  • Registered Nurse License (in the state where care is provided)
  • Computer keyboarding skills
  • Previous healthcare experience
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing or related field
