Job Summary

As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist at Prisma Health, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality echocardiographic imaging services to pediatric and adult patients with congenital heart disease. Under the supervision of Pediatric Cardiologists and clinical supervisors, you will perform daily echocardiograms, including 2D, M-mode, color, Doppler, video, and digital back-up. Your expertise will ensure the effective and efficient delivery of quality diagnostic imaging and reporting for patient medical records and treatment plans.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform daily echocardiograms, including routine and advanced procedures, with a focus on delivering high-quality images and accurate reporting.
  • Collaborate with physician, nursing, child life, and hospital department staff to ensure continuity of quality care and effective communication.
  • Document all echocardiogram procedures, including echo worksheets, print-outs, logbooks, and charge sheets for billing purposes.
  • Participate in quality assurance and data collection for research, publication, and internal auditing purposes.

Requirements

  • Post-high school education up to 18 months or equivalent on-the-job training as accepted by credentialing organizations.
  • Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) certification and CPR certification.

Work Environment

This is a non-management role that will report to a supervisor, manager, director, or executive. The work environment is a fast-paced, dynamic setting that requires strong communication and teamwork skills.
