About the RoleThe Program Director will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of a comprehensive after-school program that provides opportunities for physical, emotional, educational, creative, and cognitive growth for program participants.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in youth development, education, or a related field, and will be able to demonstrate a high degree of interpersonal skills, proven resourcefulness, and motivation in developing a full-service program.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee the day-to-day functions of the after-school program, including supervision of program staff.
- Interview and hire program staff.
- Maintain collaborative relationships with local agencies and organizations.
- Ensure participant engagement and safety.
- Develop and implement program evaluations and assessments.
- Represent the Southern Queens Park Association to various audiences.
- Coordinate staff training and development.
- Prepare and present reports as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in youth development or education.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility and adaptability.
- $65,000 annually.
