As a Senior Mechanical Engineer at Sierra Nevada Corporation, you will play a key role in designing and developing cutting-edge products and services for the aerospace and defense sectors. With a strong background in mechanical engineering and experience working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams, you will conceptualize and deliver complex mechanical structures and systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop new products and processes throughout the product lifecycle
  • Research and develop innovative solutions to solve tough problems
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver technological solutions

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
  • 10+ years of relevant experience
  • Understanding of engineering principles and practices
  • Experience with Computer Aided Engineering tools

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience applying and interpreting Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) per ASME Y14.5
  • Understanding of Engineering Simulation such as Finite Element structural analysis (FEA), Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and Thermal Analysis
  • Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry
