We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Director of Nursing to join our team at Holliswood Center for Rehabilitation and Healthcare. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of care for our residents.
Key Responsibilities- Assist the Director of Nursing in managing the nursing department and maintaining the quality of care.
- Conduct weekly wound/skin rounds to ensure the best possible outcomes for our residents.
- Collaborate with the nursing staff to ensure effective communication and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Meet the medical needs of all residents and coordinate the planning for nursing services.
- Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of general nursing theory and practice.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks and hazards to ensure a safe environment for our residents.
- Review and manage risk-related events and SNF metrics reporting.
- Assist in emergency situations and support risk-related events.
- Analyze patient safety incidents and medical errors to prevent future occurrences.
- Coordinate with the Legal/Risk Management team on investigations and claims.
- Ensure the accurate and timely completion of medical records.
- Assist with interviewing, hiring, and orienting new nursing staff.
- Oversee daily staffing processes and maintain flexibility with work schedules to address unpredictable needs.
- Current State RN license required.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Long-Term Care settings.
- 2 years of management experience preferred.
- 1 year of staff education experience preferred.
- Excellent communication skills required.
- Evidence of basic leadership skills and supervision.
- Flexible hours required.
